Biblical Counseling
The guiding foundation for Southeastern’s counseling program is that the Scriptures are sufficient for understanding people as spiritual, moral, relational and psychological beings. This program equips men and women who wish to minister the truth and grace of God in the context of the local church. View catalog description.

Biblical Languages
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary offers the Master of Arts (Biblical Languages) (MABL), in conjunction with a Certificate in Translation, to prepare students to serve as translators and as field supervisors for Bible translation teams. The 48‐hour curriculum can be completed in two years of full‐time study, and up to 24 hours of the degree may be done through distance learning (online courses and extension courses). View catalog description.

Christian Education
Teaching men and women to obey Christ is an important part of the Great Commission, and Southeastern’s Christian Education program revolves around that purpose. This concentration equips students to be godly leaders in a variety of ministry positions in a local church. View catalog description.

Christian Education with Biblical Counseling
God’s Word is the foundation of Christian growth and discipleship, and the churches that have strong leaders in those areas will doubtless be stronger churches. This program equips students with necessary tools to undertake local church ministry in these two essential areas. View catalog description.

Christian Ethics
Southeastern has one of the strongest programs in Christian Ethics in North America, thanks in large part to three full-time ethics professors, each of whom hold doctorates in the field. This allows Southeastern to offer a higher level of ethics training, more diverse classes and a better student-mentor relationship. View catalog description.

Christian School Administration
This program provides high-level training for those men and women who feel called to serve as leaders in Christian schools. It is designed to serve non- resident students, as it can be completed over several years by a combination of online learning and short-term class offerings. View catalog description.

Christian Studies
For those who do not feel called to vocational or pastoral ministry but still want a graduate-level education in theology and biblical studies, the Christian Studies program is for you. It is designed for laypersons interested in furthering their knowledge of God’s Word and their effectiveness for kingdom service. View catalog description.

Intercultural Studies
This program prepares students for international service with in-depth teaching and study. A student may pursue a concentration in Orality Studies, which prepares overseas workers to minister to primarily oral learners. View catalog description.

Ministry Leadership
The Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership degree (“The LEAD Program”) is designed to equip students with the competencies necessary to serve as effective ministry leaders in churches, parachurch organizations and denominational entities. The LEAD program focuses on the development of knowledge and competencies in three basic ministry results areas: Leadership, Education, and Discipleship. View catalog description.

Women’s Studies
Ministering to women in the local church is a high calling and one worthy of the highest level of training and preparation. This program equips women to lead and teach in a wide variety of ministry settings. Southeastern also offers an M.Div. in Women’s Studies. View catalog description.

Master of Church Music
This program allows students to study music in the context of local church worship leadership, with an emphasis on essential skills necessary to lead God’s people in authentic worship. View catalog description.
