Mentorship Program
The Center for Faith and Culture mentorship program is designed to mentor a small cadre of students interested in thinking critically about crucial cultural issues. During meetings the group, led by the Director of the Center, will analyze different aspects of culture including the Church from a theological and philosophical perspective. The intent is to examine different areas of culture in order to identify basic assumptions, beliefs, and values that give shape to the prevailing ideas and practices of western culture. The end point is to think about how evangelical Christianity might respond in a constructive, but corrective fashion. The group will meet twice a month for thought-provoking discussions which will involve certain pre-meeting assignments. These assignments may include short selected readings, questions for discussion and/or selected subjects for research. Currently all positions for the mentorship program have been filled. Check back next semester for information to interview for the CFC mentorship program.
Research Assistant Program
The Center for Faith and Culture is offering an opportunity for two or three qualified students to work with the Director in doing research for the Center. These students must show aptitude for research, have an interest in the general work of the Center, and be willing to give up to five (5) hours a week for doing research. Selection process will be by personal interview with the Director. Currently all research assistant positions have been filled. Please check back next semester for information regarding the interview process for the CFC research assistant program.
