Alumni Resources

Alumni Chapters
Southeastern is working to build alumni chapters throughout the country. These chapters will serve as the primary means for alumni to connect and cultivate relationships with other alumni in their area. Recently, our first chapter was established in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and serves alumni in the northeastern part of the state.

If you are interested in joining or starting a chapter within your area, please contact Albie Brice at (919) 761-2349 or email abrice@sebts.edu.

Mentoring Program
We at Southeastern understand that within ministry there are going to be challenging times. For this reason, the alumni office is establishing a mentorship program that provides a graduate with the ability to develop a relationship with a fellow graduate for encouragement, counsel and accountability in ministry.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or being mentored, contact Albie Brice at (919) 761-2349 or email abrice@sebts.edu.

Dinners with the President
Alumni of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary will have the opportunity to hear from President Daniel Akin during Dinners with the President.

These events are geared toward keeping Southeastern alumni up-to-date on events and initiatives of the seminary, as well as finding out how those currently serving in the ministry can be aided in their work.

The catered banquet dinners will be held in conjunction with Dr. Akin’s speaking engagements during the coming months. Each dinner and discussion will focus on the state of the seminary as well as the emphasis on the Great Commission resurgence.

Upcoming dinners will be:

  • November 13 in Chattanooga, Tennessee (tentative)

To RSVP, call us at (919) 761-2203 or email alumni@sebts.edu.

Mentoring Program

"I believe the opportunity to be involved in a mentoring program through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is one of the most exciting prospects that I can imagine. Southeastern has some of the sharpest, best trained, and spiritually awakened folks serving in ministry today. To think of them networking to share ideas, develop relationships, and simply discover another prayer warrior/friend in ministry is phenomenal. I look forward to seeing great fruit, far-reaching, as a result of this."

Dinners with the President

On January 15, 2009, we hosted a dinner in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Over 60 alumni and friends gathered to hear from Dr. Akin. We are currently in the process of planning dinners throughout the year. Potential locations are:

Charlotte, North Carolina
Raleigh, North Carolina
Greensboro, North Carolina
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Columbia, Maryland
Newport News, Virginia

If you are interested in sponsoring a dinner in your area, please contact Albie Brice at (919) 761-2349 or email abrice@sebts.edu.
