The Office of Student Success at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary exists to offer services and provide resources to assist students in completing their degree in a timely manner. Services include academic advising, academic coaching, academic probation/suspension recovery, and overseeing the expedited readmission process.

Chris D. Lee
Student Success Coordinator
Chris serves Southeastern by leading institutional discussions and strategies to increase retention, persistence, and graduation rates and promote student success. He is currently a doctoral candidate for the PhD in Philosophy of Religion and has been serving as an adjunct professor at the College since Fall 2021. As a lifelong learner, Chris has completed degrees in biblical and theological studies (BA), apologetics (MA), philosophy (MA), and ethical and philosophical studies (ThM). He is an avid-reader, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and a passionate educator dedicated to helping students succeed.
Luci Walters
Academic Advisor
Luci started at Southeastern in 2021. She is in the 5-year BA/MA Christian Counseling program. She is passionate about helping people heal their relationships, and is excited to serve Christ as a marriage and family therapist one day. She is a member of Wake Crossroads Baptist Church. She loves spending time with loved ones, playing the harp, trying out makeup products, going to the gym, baking, reading psychology, and writing. She is excited to support and encourage you in your academic journey!
Joshua Tripp
Academic Advisor
Joshua moved to Southeastern in the Fall of 2022 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Ministry. Once he finishes his degree, he desires to serve the saints in whatever capacity the Lord may lead him. Josh is an active member at Faith Youngsville Baptist Church, where he enjoys serving the body in musical worship. He enjoys golf, a good book, and any outdoor activity. Joshua is passionate about serving students as they seek to serve Christ in their time here at Southeastern!
Noah Siak
Academic Advisor
Noah started at Southeastern in January 2023 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry. He has a passion for reaching the lost for Christ and hopes to serve as an overseas church planter. Noah is a life-long member of Grace Community Church in Marion, NC, serving in their worship, children’s and youth ministry. He loves being with people, hiking, and serving at local foster care and special needs events. Noah is passionate about helping others succeed on their academic journey and can’t wait to meet with you soon!
