This dual degree program is for students seeking to serve in a ministry leadership position in the local church, on the mission field, or in a parachurch organization who desire business management training in addition to theological education.

The joint program can be completed in 85 credit hours. Students can apply 9-hours of MBA credit to fulfill the 6-hours of elective requirements and the Mentored Internship requirement for the Adv MDiv. Also, the MIS5100 Introduction to Missions from the Adv MDiv degree can be used toward 3-hours of electives in the MBA program. A full-time student can expect to complete the program in four years.

Program Courses

Some people describe seminary as a hoop to jump through, but I found my time at Southeastern to be a life-giving, spiritually edifying experience. Southeastern encouraged in me an undeniable love for God’s word. No amount of effort is too great to understand it or communicate it to someone else. What I saw, exemplified both in the classroom and even just in the culture of Southeastern, is the non-negotiable nature of the Great Commission. Southeastern emphasized that all of us are called to go in some capacity, and that we are most like Christ when we go to hard places.
